John Dean

John DeanA graduate Mechanical Engineer, John has a wealth of experience in consultancy and management. His early career was spent implementing MRPII systems while carrying out managerial roles within materials management for companies in the Hawker Siddley and Reckitt and Colman groups. A move into manufacturing systems design saw John work for JCB, which was followed by a spell in management consultancy with the Organisation Development Group. He returned to industry, heading up the group Manufacturing Systems team for Norcros plc. Subsequently John focused on front-office operations and CRM systems in an interim management role as Customer Services Manager for one of the UK's largest joinery products manufacturers. In this role he oversaw a major change programme involving the implementation of desktop systems with integrated telephony, creating a centralised national customer service call centre.

In his consultancy career, John has helped many organisations redesign processes throughout their business, but is recognised as a specialist in front-of-house operations and systems, using the latest management techniques and systems technologies. He has conducted Lean and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) projects and worked on major IT outsourcing assignments. His clients include Siemens, Solaglass, Rugby Group, Sonoco, Mills Manufacturing Technology, Gaskell Textiles and Paragon Office Furniture.
 

John is married with two sons who share John's keen interest in classic motorcycles and cars. In time they may also come to appreciate John's other passion in life, that of real ale.
